We offer free one-hour educational seminars—available in-person or virtually—for participants at your agency, organization, or community group. These sessions are designed to inform and empower individuals living with vision loss, as well as their families and caregivers.

Seminar topics include

  • What is low vision? Overview of common conditions and their impact on daily life
  • Simple, affordable adaptive devices and strategies for greater independence
  • Home safety and fall prevention tips
  • Overview of Vision Loss Alliance of New Jersey programs and services
For Agency & Organization Staff

“Techniques and Strategies to Identify Individuals Who May Have Vision Impairments or Vision Loss”

We provide free educational presentations tailored to professionals and staff working in healthcare, social services, senior care, and community outreach. These sessions help staff recognize signs of vision loss and offer practical strategies for support and referral.

Seminar topics include

  • Introduction to low vision and typical eye conditions
  • How vision loss affects function and independence
  • Techniques to identify individuals with vision impairments
  • Simple interventions to promote safety and accessibility
  • Available resources and guidance in navigating next steps to refer potential clients
