VLANJ Fellowship Program 2025
What is the VLANJ Fellowship Program?
Vision Loss Alliance of New Jersey is excited to offer the VLANJ Fellowship Program to Independent Living Older Blind Consumers (age 55+) and Transition-Age College Students (ages 18–21) starting in February 2025. The program is designed to build community and connection among individuals experiencing vision loss or blindness.

Program Details
Program Goals
The Fellowship Program provides opportunities for participants to share knowledge, develop communication and professional skills, and explore each other’s unique interests and experiences. Sessions will be held twice a month via Zoom, along with three in-person events featuring guest speakers, guided discussions, and interactive experiences.
Eligibility
- Consumers with an open case with the NJ Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired
- Actively served in the ILOB Program or VR College Unit (ages 18–21)
- Must be able to join Zoom via app or phone
- Must commit to the full schedule
